Pharmacy Sale Pros | KKBA | Washington
We welcome all “Evergreen State” pharmacy owners to our website. Were you looking for information about valuing or selling a pharmacy business? If so, you have come to the right place. We are KKBA, a Nationwide Business Brokerage firm that has a practice that is dedicated to working with pharmacy owners to value and sell their businesses. The brokers in our Medical Sales Group eat, sleep and dream, selling pharmacy businesses all over the country.
Is the time right to sell?
Wow! You bet it is. We are in a Seller’s Market right now with pharmacy businesses nationwide. There are far more buyers looking to purchase than there are Sellers ready to sell. This is like the perfect scenario if you are a seller.
Working with KKBA will seriously increase your chances of selling your business faster and for more money than with anyone else.
Most every person who ever started a business has at some time, or another, dreamed of building their business to a point where they could sell the business to help finance their retirement or finance another business acquisition. We call this the “entrepreneurs dream” and we spend most every day of our professional lives trying to make that dream come true for the devoted hardworking entrepreneurs that entrust their pharmacy business sale to us.
Our Track record
After hundreds of transactions in the past 12 years we are so proud of our track record selling pharmacies. We have a 100% success rate. Before you jump to any conclusions it needs to be said that we didn’t get this success rate only taking on the easy sales. We have worked through some pretty tough cases in our time. For example, we have sold pharmacies that had less than a year in business. We have sold a few that had fallen on hard times and were not profitable the year prior to the sale. Lead by our V.P. of Sales/Director of Medical Sales Group, Mr. Phil Blum, our folks are laser focused on the industry and we have a stable of buyers that is the envy of any other broker in the country.
It isn’t as easy as we make it sound.
We hope we haven’t made it sound like it’s a “cakewalk” to sell a pharmacy. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is not a suitable DIY (do-it-yourself) project. As they say in Hollywood “Don’t try this at home.”
The folks out in the market who are buying these businesses are a unique lot. They are nothing like the people buying gas stations, pizza parlors or liquor stores. They are smart, savvy professionals who know what they are doing. Quite often they have on staff or on retainer, Attorney, Accountants and MBA types to assist them in negotiating these transactions. These people are not pushovers. They do some very deep analysis of acquisition candidates and are very good at squeezing every penny out of the price they can. This is where we come in…
We represent you and your best interests. We know how they think. We know what they are looking for, and we know how to negotiate with them. After doing so many of these transactions over the years we have developed a knowledge base of solutions for the many issues and potential problems that crop up while working on such a transaction.
In a nutshell, “You can’t beat a man at his own trade.”
Selling businesses in general, and specially pharmacies, is an acquired skill set not an innate or inherent skill we are born with. It took us years to get to the point where we are today where we can honestly say that we think we are the best choice for anyone contemplating the sale of an independent pharmacy.
On a lighter note:
Ready to learn an interesting piece of trivia about Washington? Here goes, a gentleman named Dr. Cliff Pickover had always wondered what could possibly be the longest straight line drive in America. He pondered this for many years until he was able to determine the line to a certainty. What’s all this have to do with Washington? Well, as you might have already figured it out, the drive would start at Ocean Creek by the Makah Indian Reservation in Washington, and the amazing journey would end near 1 Ocean Drive, Jupiter, Florida, 33469. (Ocean Creek is not the name of a city or town, but the name of the actual stream.)
To reiterate, the trip starts in Washington state at the beach at Ocean Creek, 124° 41′ 38” W, 48° 21′ 44” N:
What did this have to do with selling a pharmacy business? The trip to a settlement table might seem as long as Dr. Pickover’s straight line drive but it doesn’t have to be if you have chosen the right brokers to navigate the trip for you.
